Race report from John: “The first race of the Sandhill fall series was held yesterday. The race format was dual slalom and the turnout was fairly light at around 60 or so. The vet sport category (old folks 30 – 99) had four participants, a couple of the folks I’m sure you know – Jim Koch and Charlie Velez (Northstar regulars). Meg came down from Seattle to participate and pushed all three of us. If it weren’t for a broken chain in the final 50 feet, she would have taken vet sport category.
Attached is the podium photo. Next two Saturdays Sandhill will be hosting mountain cross events. Hope to see some of the downhill Reno team.”
