We’re in! Let us know if you’re going.
Hello DH Reno,
We were just awarded the Nevada State Championship by USA Cycling. I thought I would send this event poster off to you for your web site for the gravity folks of Reno.
We hired CJ Sports timing for timing the event and the on site registration so all will go super smooth.
Thanks again
Downhill Mike

We are already planning next years Nevada State Championships @ Bootleg. Early ideas are a full 3 days of racing including dual slalom. Add another shuttle vehicle to accommodate a longer dh run finishing on Reaper. Still have 51 weeks to plan and get your ideas for 2012.

  7. 1-20-11 Update:

New category added and sponsored by none other than Canfield Brothers!
    Open Single Speed DH!

    * No Annual USAC license required for this category only.
However, you will need to purchase the 1 day event license for 10 bucks.

    * Same course as the main dh event.

    * 1 speed only allowed on your bike. Chris Canfield will be at the start checking this.

    * Single-Speed DH racers will race after the last pro and before the Open Chainelss.

    * If you are a serious USAC racer and wanting the points or to qualify for the Nationals, this category is NOT for you.

    * No USAC medals or points awarded for Open Single-Speed. However, prizes from Canfield Brothers will be awarded.

    * This option is also good for racers who are obviously category 1 or pro and have not raced USAC events.

  8. 1-13-11 update:
For those of you that are not camping and still need a room check out these rates.

Hacienda: $19.99 week days and $29.99 weekends. They told me they could
not guarantee these rates through the event, but if booked now will
    honor them.

Railroad Pass: $29.00 week days and $49.00 weekends.

Your only choices on registration will be will be:
    Men’s Pro
    Women’s Pro
    Category 1, 2 or 3
CJ Sports Timing will then place you in the correct age and gender bracket. Simple. With your racing age (USAC RULES) being 1 year older in many cases for such an early race in season, this will really help!
