Always an awesome place – the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park is scheduled to open June 20, 2009. Serving up everything from boulder-strewn freeride terrain to smooth-as-a-baby’s-bottom dirt paths.
- 100-plus miles of dirt single-track
- Descend 3,000 feet from Mammoth’s summit
- From expansive vistas to pine tree corridors
- Seven NEW freeride trails built in the last two seasons
Mammoth Mountain Bike Park opened its newest freeride trail, Twilight Zone in 2008. The highlight of this trail is “The Deep End”, a nine-foot tall, 50-foot wide, elevated, banked wooden bowl structure that looks like it was airlifted straight from British Columbia, minus the rain, and crappy exchange rate, of course.
The Scenic Gondola provides uphill access for mountain bikers, along with the Bike Park shuttle, which begins in the Village at Mammoth.
