“The GI 60 is an amazing performer for dirt jumping and urban riding!”

All about the Atomlab GI 60 Fork-

1. The fork is approx. 5.5lbs and has a crown to axle length of 463mm which is approximately the same as a normal 80-100mm dirt jump fork like a Marzocchi DJ or Manitou Gold Label.

2. The GI 60 is all cromoly and has been heat treated through a post weld process similar to Odyssey’s Thermal treatment. It adds a ton durability and significantly strengthens the welds.

3. We use very high end sliders so there is no ‘wiggle’ in the fork. We also added a second dropout brace which has made the forks so stiff that it is arguably the stiffest on the market.

4. It only has 60mm of travel and is super stiff. Although the fork moves through travel while your riding, you really don’t notice it. It feels much like a rigid fork except you never really feel any jarring. I’m 200lb and using the regular 3.8 springs (not the 4.0 extra stiff) and the fork runs through 40-50mm of travel while I’m riding, but I never really feel it moving. It doesn’t ‘bonk’ as you top out when you pull up and it ramps up so that you never feel it bottom out.

5. The internals are super simple and easy to maintain. There is just a spring with two different elastomers inside it. The elastomers control the ramp up as you compress the fork. A bolt runs through that and has a small elastomer on the end the prevents bonking as it tops out. We will be stocking all the parts so if you do bend or break anything, you can just replace the part you break.

6. The best part is that the retail is only $249.95.

If anyone can totally thrash test a fork it’s Hacksaw – he’s been testing this one for months and it’s performing flawlessly.

The beefy 20mm axle keeps the GI 60 laterally stiff.
