Intense does most of the work in house: welding, heat treating and CNC machining. The frames are painted locally at another facility.

Easton makes the tubing.

Each frame is heat treated twice. The first time the frame is heat treated for 3 hours then the alignment is carefully checked by hand. The second time the frame is heat treated for 8 hours. Next the frame is painted and the BB bracket and head tube are faced.

Each awesome Intense frame involves about 15 hours of hands on work.

Local Northstar/Giant Pro Jon Wilson smoked the Boondocks course for the win on Sunday. Great riding Jon!

Jon Wilson had the fastest time on the mountain.

Curtis Opperman takes the Big Daddy drop.

Pro dhReno racer Curtis Opperman rode an awesome race and finished 9th against the tough competition!

Greg Rea took the 2nd place spot (with a crash) in one of the biggest classes of the race: 20 riders!

dhReno racer Dave Bright (at 46 the oldest Pro racer) finished mid-pack with a dropped chain!

In the village at the awards ceremony..

Brandon Tirri raced with a Pro time winning the Expert 19-26 class! Awesome riding Brandon!

Northstar/Giant Pro Casey Coffman looks fast coming off of the Boondocks drop on his race run.

Asa Salas finished 3rd racing conservatively in the Women’s Pro race! Tasa Herndon won. dhReno racer Bernie Opperman scored a gold in Women’s Sport but I didn’t get a photo - sorry Bernie.

Huge thanks to Asa and George and the rest of the N* trail crew from all of us for the excellent work on the Boondocks trail prior to the race. They worked until 9 pm the night before the race to get the awesome race course finished!

dhReno racer Clark Wright takes the gold at the USA Cycling National Championships in the Sport Dual Slalom! Great job Clark! dhReno racer John Kresich also took 4th in the Expert 50-54 Downhill race. Congratulations guys!

From John Kresich “Greetings from Vermont.  .  . just a quick note to say we have a new National Champ Slalom Racer - Clark Wright.  

On a borrowed bike, Clark ripped through the competition one by one, and in his finals came from behind with a major burst the last hundred yards to earn the win.    Wish I had picture of his intensity to share with the group.   Huge execution!”
