Tyrolean and Mt Rose

It seems like everyone was riding Tyrolean last weekend!  Groups were riding Saturday and Sunday with riders including: Wil, Bill, Cierra, Jarred, Sean, Eric, Curtis, Bernie, Randy, Mel, Kierstan, Greg, Lil Greg, Jasen, Trey, Lew, Jason, Casey, Don, PH, Eddie, Zack, Alex, Steve and others ….

Hippy Shack and other trails

The riding on Sunday  was fantastic! We started in the afternoon on the N-Trail which is in great shape. Since it was about 95 degrees on Peavine we decided to head to the Sierra. We rode Whites Creek and then up to the Hippy Shack trail. There are still a few snow drifts at the top of the HS – nothing too bad.   We ended up coming down Thomas Creek and Baby Head trail. We finished a perfect day with a tasty BBQ and beer at Black Rock Bikes – thanks Randy!

We’re still riding the Mount Rose trails!

Tyrolean is fantastic right now.  There’s a little snow and mud at the top – it’s easy to ride as there is a trail thru the snow. 90% of the trail is dry and in great shape.

Hippy Shack and the lower trails are totally clear and in awesome condition.

Jones-Whites Creek Trail Closure

This temporary weekday closure went to effect Tuesday May 27 and is expected to be lifted July 4th, 2008. The trails are open on weekends.

Some dh shuttle options this weekend:

• Tyrolean Downhill * Friday June 22nd, 2007.  Meet at Galena Mrkt dirt parking lot at 4:00pm or Mount Rose Meadows at 4:30pm.
• Geiger Grade Downhill * Saturday June 23rd. Meet at the dirt parking lot across from GG 7-11 at 12:00 noon.
• Tyrolean Downhill * Sunday June 24th. Meet at Galena Mrkt dirt parking lot at 12:00 noon.
