The Hole-in-the-Ground trail is fantastic!

Last year we couldn’t ride Hole-in-the-Ground (one of our favorite rides) until August because of all the snow – this year’s so dry we’re already riding it in June!  There are maybe 10-12 trees down across the trail and a few snow drifts but other than that the trail is in amazing shape and super fun to ride.

Weekend Update: Tahoe, Mt Rose, Mammoth, Donner

dhReno riders were out in force this weekend. Groups were ripp’n Mammoth, Tahoe Rim Trail and Flume Trail, Tyrolean DH, Sky Tavern, Hole-in-the-Ground, Elings Park and more. Here are some photos:

Hole in the Ground Ride

Hole in the Ground * Donner Pass, California * July 2004

This is a hard, technical ride (17 miles, 2,100 ft climbing) that starts across from Boreal Ski Resort and ends up in Soda Springs by the fire station. The ride is great fun and a good workout.
