Black Rock Bicycles has just received two golden 10.5 x 3.5 Cane Creek Double Barrel shocks for the 2008 Intense M6.
The new Cane Creek Double barrel is one of the best after market shocks out and you owe it to yourself to get to the nearest shop and ride one. I'm not talking about just a spin in the parking lot but a long ride up and down the mountain. This will give you a taste of what 30 years of racing technology can do for your bike. If you want a new way to add some life to that old trusty bike that you have enjoyed over the years then ride don't run, it wont be fast enough, and get one of these new shocks. I have tried a lot of different shocks and none of them offered the extremely wide range of compression and rebound damping adjustment as this shock. This is just my opinion and yours may be different but you will never be able have an opinion if you don't try one soon.
Arek just started riding the new 55 ETA and so far the reports are super positive. He’s coming off of a 36 Talas and already says that the 55 rides better. He also thinks it has better adjustablity. We’ll get a full report on this fork later.
No more broken derailleurs! Who’s gonna be the first to try out one of these bad boys on their dh bike?
Comes with a chain tensioner and 203mm rotors are available! Use either a 135mm QR or 135mm bolt on axle. Just put 135mm drop outs on your Intense M3, Uzzi or Socom and you’re ready to go!
A few weeks ago at Downieville we had to fix 5 flats in our little group so we had a great chance to find out which pump worked the best on the trail. Tomo had a Topeak Road Morph G Master Blaster that blew the doors off of the other hand pumps.
This little pump morphs into a floor pump so it fills a tire quite a bit faster than the traditional hand pump. Your arms don’t get as tired either. The Road Morph G is so efficient that you can probably leave the CO2 at home (unless you’re running tubeless). We liked the Road Morph G over the Mountain Morph G as it is lighter, longer (more air volume) and has the inline pressure gauge (which works well). The RMG fits fine inside my Camelbak Mule.
“The evolution to the LG1 was the addition of a “Taco”. Riders began cutting pieces of e.13 supercharger to run behind the chainring and protect the ring from impacts in as minimalist a manner as possible……” Check out the story and more photos at www.TranscendMagazine.com
The Cane Creek Double Barrel coil shock was one of the highlights of the show for some of us. We wouldn’t have recognized this shock as a jewel if we hadn’t had the chance to ride it on the dirt at Bootleg Canyon.
The Orange bikes at Eurobike wowed everyone with their new belt drives. The Carbon Belt Drive is touted to be 98% efficient - the same as a chain drive. Plus they don’t need to be lubed and they last 3 times as long as a chain!
Spot Bikes will have the new Poly Chain GT Carbon belt on their bikes at the Interbike On Dirt Demo. We’ll be sure to test them and report back here.
