If you haven’t checked out the Open Ground Park at 2450 Valley Road in Reno get over there and see what it is all about. This park is a huge resource for Reno ……. and some guys even ride their mtn bikes there!
I attended the BMX Pro session at the 1st Open Ground Throwdown on Saturday (3/10) and the amount of talent in Reno that night was spectacular! Hacksaw was announcing the pro competition and he did a great job keeping the onlookers informed and the energy level high! The pro riders were giving it their all in front of the Reno crowd and it was all free to spectate!
The ABA Silver Dollar Nationals, one of the premier events on the national-race schedule, is being held at an indoor dirt BMX track that the ABA will construct exclusively for the race. Held at the Reno Livestock Events Center from Jan. 5-7, it will include racers of all demographics, along with all the PRO classes.
The Carson City track is awesome and the folks that run it are really nice! If you don't have a BMX bike or cruiser bring a mountain bike. It's all good! Night racing begins this Friday June 2nd! Sign ups and practice 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Racing ASAP. Cost is only $5 and you need an ABA license. Check out Carson City BMX
