The Cane Creek Double Barrel coil shock was one of the highlights of the show for some of us. We wouldn’t have recognized this shock as a jewel if we hadn’t had the chance to ride it on the dirt at Bootleg Canyon.

The guys that run Cane Creek are great. They spent a lot of time setting up the Double Barrel for us at Dirt Demo which allowed us to seriously evaluate this shock.

Independent control of high and low speed compression and rebound. You can adjust this shock on the trail to accomodate different riding conditions. This shock feels a lot better than the Fox DHX 5.0 shocks that most of us run on our dh rigs - of course it should for the price (msrp: $850 w/ ti spring, $650 /w steel)!

Eric and Randy evaluated the Intense 6.6 with the Cane Creek DB. They both have experience riding the 6.6 with a DHX 5.0 air so this was a great comparison. Randy thought so highly of the Double Barrel that he ordered one on the spot for his own 6.6.
The Double Barrel will probably be offered as a factory option on the new Intense M6.

Don’t know the weights on either the DB or 110 yet. We’ll weigh Randy’s DB when it comes in and post it here. They’re pricey msrp: $850 w/ ti spring, $650 /w steel.

The 110 Headset is 97.5Gg without spacers or star nut assembly.
It carries a 110 year warranty and was the result of putting 110% effort towards making the best headset possible. The alloy is state of the art and the bearing features a new Split-Lip seal which keeps grease in and water out. It’s pretty sweet in person.

The DB is gonna be very comparable in weight (W/O spring ) to all the other shocks. I had one in 06, and the dampening is truly light years ahead of any other damper on the market. If you’ve got the cash, get one.
