The Beginner’s Jump Clinic on Saturday (3/31) was totally awesome! Everyone who participated came away with new skills and had a great time. Huge thanks to Jim “Hacksaw” Severt for doing an amazing job instructing the clinic - no one could have done it better! Kudos to PNut Severt and Curtis Opperman for their help as assistant instructors and for perfectly demonstrating the techniques. Props also to Black Rock Bicycles and Randy Robison for hosting the event.

Seventeen riders turned out for the class which allowed for some quality one-on-one instruction. We had a diverse group of riders from 9 years to over 50 years old!

Hacksaw is an amazing teacher. He has the ability to instantly analyze your jumping skills and make spot on corrections.

Assistant Jump Experts Pnut and Curtis are such talented riders - they’re awesome to watch.

Most Improved - these riders had quantum leaps in their jumping skills.

Bernie is jumping fantastic right now. Her skills definitely ratcheted up a notch on Saturday. She was consistently nailing a 15′ double! Maybe the new M3 helps!

Joe got a ton smoother thru the course of the clinic. He definitely stepped up his skills on Saturday!

Logan got his license to fly at the jump clinic!

Adam started off getting 3 inches of air and ended the day getting 3 feet of air!

Nor Cal riders Mike and Bob attended the clinic and showed great improvement by the end of the day. We’ll see you guys a lot at Northstar this summer!

Biggest Bad Ass- Don Moorehouse raced the UNR Cycling crit on Saturday morning then attended the Jump Clinic. He later rode laps on the downhill course - some without the shuttle! Don’s jumping skills are definately ramping up for a season at Northstar and Mammoth!

Good job for all the people that improved on their skills. These will be a great confidence boost when riding downhill. Remember attack and manhandle your bike.
