Have you ridden Cow Canyon lately? It looks like a moonscape!

A seed-dropping helicopter is scheduled this Friday March 9th to fly over Peavine Peak in the first of a two-part effort to treat land charred by a major wildfire.

Volunteers are also needed to re-seed the burn area:

  • When: 8:30 a.m. to noon March 24th.
  • Where: Meet at Patagonia Outlet parking lot, 8550 White Fir St. and carpool up the mountain.
  • To sign up: Call the Nevada Land Conservancy at 775-851-5180.
