Hacksaw tests the new 2007 Transition Bikes Double.

What it is:
“The Double is built for the hardtail junkie looking for just a small amount travel in the rear to smooth out the dirt jumps and biker cross courses. Designed with dirt jump hardtail geometry, the extremely low slung Double will have you throwing tricks first and worrying about the landing later. If BMX tracks are what you are into, the Double’s super responsive rear end with a low bottom bracket can rail burms like no other full suspension. This could be the funnest bike that we have ever designed. ” from Transition Bikes.

This Double is a size large. Slung low and long…..

The new RST 100mm Space fork is made for dirt jumpers. This is a great little fork that looks like a Fox 36 at an affordable price.

This Double sports tons of bombproof Atomlab components including the wheelset, handlebars, stem and pedals.

The Bottom Line:
Jim “Hacksaw” Severt feels that small bike companies like Transition Bikes and Atomlab are the driving force in the bike industry with new innovations; the awesome Transition Double is a perfect example of this.
The Double is built for one purpose and it does this extremely well.
Some of the features that Hacksaw loves about the Double include:
There are no weaknesses with the Double and it has become Hacksaw’s favorite bike! If you have any questions contact him at : hacksaw@ridetwenty.com
