Mount Rose, Nevada * Sunday July 30th, 2006
Nineteen DH riders turned out on Sunday for the 2nd Black Rock Bicycles DownHill Shuttle Tour of Mount Rose. We hit the Reno side and the Tahoe side of Rose for awesome runs down White’s Creek, Reindeer DH, Tyrolean DH and the infamous Incline DH!

Each of the trails provided different terrain to ride. White’s Creek has great tight turns and fast sandy sections. The Reindeer trail is steep with logs, hardpack and rocks. The Tyrolian DH flows with rock gardens made out of smooth granite and fast berms. The Incline DH is the most technical with major gnarly rock gardens and drops.

John Valera, manager of the Santa Cruz JD team, sampled Reno area riding for the first time. John’s finace Elizabeth also rode well on the Mt Rose black diamond trails.

Black Rock rented the mega shuttle truck - it worked great! We could of even handled another 10+ riders.
This really was a marathon tour. We met at the Galena Market at 10AM and by the time we came down from the mountain it was after 7PM!

Everybody rode very well. I was impressed by the progress of our riders. Over the last year everyone has improved dramaticly. I had a blast.

That was probably the funnest ride I have done in a very long time! You guys are awesome people and a great group to ride with!!!! I would consider moving to Reno just so I can be part of the riding scene and the DH Reno Crew. We have to do this again!
