Downieville Downhill November 20th, 2005
At the top of the road we’re usually up to our axles in snow this late in November, so this ride was a special treat! Packer Saddle had been snowed in earlier in November but lucky for us it melted and dhReno took full advantage of it!
*10 points for making it

We parked at the top and got started before the crack of noon, around 11am. The trail was tacky and probably in the best condition most of us have ever seen it - super traction and no dust.
Back in town we stuffed ourselves with pizza and beer while we waited for the shuttle and consumed double the calories we burned on the ride.

The shuttle driver for Downieville Outfitters was great. She saved Eric’s life with a strategically placed hand on his ass when he slid off the roof of the van and got hung up. Eric was smiling, maybe he did it on purpose.
